Non-stop

Esto es básicamente la narración de imágenes que corrían por mi mente al escuchar una canción. Para una mejor interpretación, escuchar la pieza a la vez que leen el texto.

Two kids are sitting together. Two kids start running. They are running like racing horses, non-stop, non-breath, non-think. Suddenly, they hit a wall. Her nose is bleeding; she is in pain but doesn’t stop. He picks her up and keeps going. They run by the park, where several kids are playing. The excitement makes them run too. He begins gasping. She kisses him without slowing down, and gives him back some energy. They are now teenagers. They look tired but have no time to stop. The children follow them closely, laughing and yelling with all their breath. They see each other and a sparkle shines in their eyes. Now they are adults. Time has changed. Things seem broken down but they continue. There are bumps in the road, there are loud annoying noises but nothing can get them distracted. They slow down a little, yet they don’t stop. She steps on flowers, he steps on toys. They have left the kids behind. He hits his foot against a rock; she picks him up, hugs him and rushes down a hill. He follow her. He is losing energy; but she can’t go back. She is confident he will find a way to reach her. His foot is bleeding and he can’t stand the pain, but he doesn’t want to let her go. She figures out as long as she is running forward he won’t catch up. She runs in a circle back to where he is, grabs him by his feels better but his wounded foot won’t let him run again. She takes a cane from the floor and hands it to him. They keep on walking until they reach a town. Right in the center there is a fountain. He picks up a little more speed. They are about to get there. She is by him, he is by her. They sit at the border of the fountain, stare at each other for a moment, nod in agreement and throw themselves inside the water. They were old already. Bubbles rose up to the surface of the water.
